The Depth of a double Journey!

Writer's picture: Yannis KalafatisYannis Kalafatis

As we approach the last chapter of our Scottish jouney (For now), we go through the typical Scottish cloudy and grey weather, History, the capital, gorgeous buildings and scary landscapes. Oh... and a curious owl!

I would like to start with our thumbnail for this post. I want you to stare at it for a good couple of minutes and think about the depth of field in this picture. Edinburgh is a big place but still looks like a small place through this picture. For sure, it is not... It captures it all at the same time though. Buildings, the sky, the train, ships etc. That's the reason I chose it. It is not an excellent one but that fact did interest me.

How about the airport panorama? Surely taken by a phone but still a fav. After all I love travelling so the whole photo speakes for itself.

Let's go through the city though. It was my first experience of the popular red bus. Old fashioned (outside) buildings still in great condition. It is a bit scary at the same time though, especially during the winter. It is quite dark, the trees got no leaves left on them, cloudy, a bit quite on the streets depending on the place and time but still so beautiful.

I only spent six months there but that didn't stop me from visiting it several times a year. It can get very busy on the weekends but people are nice and you get a lot of selection to jump from cafe to cafe, Scottish breaky or visit museums or even the castle!

Let's enjoy some pictures and start the second part of our journey! Stay tunned for the next post as we will move south.
