As per the title says... Here is where everything started for my Culinary Journey. This was the place where I did my first ever apprenticeship.
As we have seen Crete is one of the most historic places in Greece. Full of tradition and they do a great job at preserving it very well. Lot of good food can be found and stunning views around the island as well.
Chania is more touristic compared to other areas of Crete but you can still try good traditional food, enjoy the sunset and visit a lot of attractions. There are still remains of ancient walls and building with much of importance. My favourite thing to do there, is walking through the port and through the little shops.Usually, it is fully crowded during peak times. Sometimes, you can not even enjoy it. Although, you can hear the wind, sometimes musicians, Hosts from taverns trying to bring people in(Mainly tourists) and people talking. I still find it fascinating, the way that old and ancient buildings are preserved through the modern city. Most of the times, cities have been built on top of the ancient ones. You can see that by visiting Greece. Every area has a similar example. It might sound sad but it is a great way to save it. Let's enjoy our second journey and prepare to land back to the United Kingdom.
