Where Sea meets with the Ground!

Being in of the most impostant naval ports in the United Kingdom as the name suggests, we meet a museum. Definately not an ordinary one. After all.... Normal is boring. Quite unexpectedly and out of curiosity we enter. Here we learn more about the first world war. As wars are part of our life and nobody likes them. They do exist and the make other countries profit or maybe certain people. Although, it is important we study history so we don't end up repeat it. This is what my ancestors would say and yet we don't and we are stuck in an infinite 'hamster trap'.

We found antiques or actual models that were used from moving from Portsmouth naval base to France back then in order to inflitrate and sneak into the enemy forces. They used to descibre them risky as most of the time they would not make it through out the waves. Hypothermia, cold, lonliness and the feeling of not seeing your loved ones again was the most intense for the soldier. Also, there were videos and simulators to help you understand. Plus the high quality figurines that described with lot of detail people of that old age. Even machines, animals and companions like doggos...

It was not only about war though. Older ships throughout the history and the humanity can be found. Others with sails, others of the pirate eras and others with machinery. Either the first found or the latest. You can also walk inside and old marine and pirate ships and see how it was used, designed and decorised in the age being.

Walking around the museum you will see fences where you can not go further. Alongside there might be one or two of the huge aircraft carriers as it was when I was there. To this day it is used as a naval base after some point. There are statues as well of high importance. I am quite picky with museums, I am not going to lie. However, this is one of my favourites so far as it combines outside areas with the inside of the museum.

Lastly there is a shop with lot of imitations you can buy! Either of that being a wooden machinery from the past having 'time-travelled' or a divers helmet in a small size, clothes, tetiles, figurines, cups, mugs, old watches.... yes, the ones with the chain and the button in order to open and watch the time and lot of other goodies!

Before we begin our visual journey, I would like to thank you for being here and for your continuous support!
