Ingredients
500g Green Lentils
1L Veg stock
1 red onion
2 cloves of garlic
x1 leek/celery
1 carrot
olive oil
250g Chopped tomatoe
50g tomato paste
2 bay leaf
1tsp Allspice
1/2 tspMild chili powder
salt,pepper
1tsp oregano
1tsp thyme
1tsp sage
White wine vinegar to season
Preparation
Start by washing the lentils
Prepare all of your veg chopped in a bowl.
get a pot with olive oil and turn on high heat
When hot add the veg and reduce to medium heat.
Wheat they sweat and they are translucent, add the lentils. Cook for a bit untill they get the aromas.
Add the tomato paste and mix well. Let it cook and add the tomatoes,
mix a bit and finally add the stock, all spice and the bay leaf.
Cook for 45'
When the timer is off, checked if they are cooked and finally season with the rest of the ingredients.
