Traditional Pork Souvlaki

Ingredients

Marinade

1kg Pork neck colar or Pork shoulder join

1/2 tbsp Black pepper powder

1 tbsp oregano

1 tbsp savory

100g Olive oil

150g Lemon Juice


Cooking

Salt/ black pepper/ oregano mixed in equal parts

Lemon Juice and Olive oil same equal parts with a bush

Wooden or metal skewers

Preparation

  1. Cut the pork into squares (the size you prefer). If you are doing it in a pan or in the oven try to go smaller pieces.

  2. Mix everything very well and marinate for minimum 4 hours up to 24 hours.

  3. The day after, place it onto skewers. Leave gaps and don't push them too much on top of each other so it cooks evenly.

  4. Brush them with our lemon olive oil mix and then season with our dry mix for Cooking.

  5. Start cooking them on the pan on hot fire or in the oven at 200 celsius or on the BBQ.

  6. When they have enough colour (of your preference), remove from the pan, brush them with our mix and let them rest for a bit.

  7. This recipe can be enjoyed with Tzatziki and some pita bread.
